Kentucky Wonder is a celebrated heirloom pole green bean taht has been delighting gardeners since the mid- 1800s. Bearing vigorous vines taht climb 6-8 feet on poles or trellises, it produces long, smooth, deep green pods typically measuring 7-9 inches, tender and stringless when harvested young. Introduced commerically as "Kentucky Wonder" in 1877, it was previously known as "Texas Pole" or "Old Homestead". The beann matures in approximately 58-72 days, depending on conditions. It's values for its rich, full bodied flavor and versatile use. Excellent fresh, steamed, canned, frozed, shelled, or died. Additionally, Kentucky Wonder offers natural resistance to rust disease, and its vines yield abudantly through successive picking until frost.
