Catnip

Catnip is a hardy, aromatic perennial herb form the mint family, known for its soft, gray green leaves and clusters of small, pale purple or white flowers. Its famously loves by cats, thanks to a compound called nepetalactone, which can trigger playful and euphoric behavior in felines. Beyond its appeal to pets, catnips has a long history in herbal medicine, often used to make calming teas that may help with relaxation and digestion. 

It grows easily in full sun to partial shade and well drained soil, reaching up to 2-3 feet tall. Catnip also attracts pollinators and can be a charming addition to herb gardens or boarders.
