Arugula

Arugula is a fast growing, leafy green herb known for its peppery, slightly nutty flavor. Its tender, lobed leaves add a zesty kick to salads, sandwiches, and pasta dishes. Often used in Mediterranean cuisine, arugula is rich in vitamins A,C and K, as well as antioxidants and minerals like calcium and potassium. 

It thrives in cool weather and can be harvested as baby greens or allowed to mature for a stronger taste. Arugula grows best in full sun to partial shade and well drained soil making it a favorite for home gardens and container planting.
